The CIA reported in 2008 that Tel Aviv is in fact more densely populated than Gaza City. They relied on statistics provided by the UN.

I live in Israel. This is my perspective. I make no apologies. I am proud of my country. Rhetoric with an extra "h". The "h" is for HOPE. HaTikvah. In case you are wondering, I photographed these beautiful water lilies at Sarona, in Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv has lots of these lovely water lily ponds scattered about for everyone to enjoy. Thank heaven, it isn't all sirens and missiles!
